You're overlooking apolitcal trad-skins or "fence-sitters". I'm not part of any subculture myself but I do like Oi bands like the Cockney Rejects.

TGGP: You could be right. I've never heard of trad-skins or fence-sitters. How numerous are they,i.e., are they a small group among the skinheads or large?

Since I'm not a member of the sub-culture I can't really say. Before the rise of racist skinheads (the most notable being Skrewdriver, which started out non-racist and had leftist members among its original lineup) there was no need to define oneself as anti-racist. Skinhead subculture is itself an imitation of the Jamaican rude-boys and many early skinheads were into dancehall reggae. The band Symarip consisted of blacks and released a seminal album titled Skinhead Moonstomp after the moon landing, with many of the songs having the word "skinhead" in the title and/or lyrics, but it sounds like reggae rather than the punk skinhead music later became associated with. That was the 60s and punk got big in the mid-to-late 70s. Here's a youtube clip from 1970 that discusses the scene including it's racial/class aspect:

I think there are a lot of skinheads that may have a loose identification with SHARP-skins but aren't that interested in the political aspect. Some may still cover Skrewdriver songs despite the association with Nazism. You can find an image online of two skinheads with skulls shaped like toilets full of manure carrying Nazi and Soviet flags, respectively, used by some skinheads to express pox-on-both-houses sentiment.
